THANK YOU
A LETTER FROM LEO’S MOM, SYLVIA
FEBRUARY, 2022
On behalf of Sylvia Bolton, Matt Schneider, Margy Parlpanov, and The Leo Maddox Legacy, we are proud to share this very special moment of love, grief, and hope from the unveiling of our Leo Maddox Legacy programs at the University of Washington School of Oceanography and the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering.
The Leo Cup Innovation Award aims to generate innovation into Recycling Ocean Plastics, which is affecting ocean health, human health, food security, biodiversity and impacting life for many around the world.
Within the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, a learning lab housed in the Gates Center has been designated the Leo Maddox Laboratory and will be made available to University of Washington students.
In addition to these programs, Leo Maddox Legacy scholars have been created for students of accomplishment with high potential in both schools.
All Leo Maddox Legacy programs created in partnership with the University of Washington reflect a labor of love from Mom Sylvia and the Leo Maddox family.
